The Langley Model Car club and Bracknell Model Car club with be
joining forces again to offer a day of FREE racing at the 1st Ascot at Windsor Model Show.
The show is organised for charity and the clubs expect all racers to make a donation.
This year there are a number of important differences from last year:
- The location is now the Windsor Race Course as the Ascot site is currently being re-developed;
- The show is taking place on SATURDAY 23rd April and not Sunday as before.
- The race surface is smooth without large tree roots cracking the tarmac and also free from moss and other debris from trees.
Please note the following points:
- Limited power sockets are available, so please ensure you bring extension leads and adaptor plugs;
- If you DO NOT wish to pit on the ground, please bring a table and car;
- Car access is available for unloading prior to the show opening. Cars must be parked in the public car parks.
- Passes for free access will be available from race control for a couple
of weeks prior to the event. If you cannot make it on a Friday night
to collect a pass, please send Andrew Payne an email.
This table shows the frequencies for use at the Model Show for cars, boats and tanks.
Please ensure you have the required frequencies.
Both clubs will have spare 27mhz crystals available.
Neither clubs have spare 40mhz crystals due to compatibility issues with different transmitters.
